While the drill worked for developing artificial muscles, it had a short battery life and was not sustainable for making artificial muscles.  Therefore, we decided to buy the ring stand, stepper motor and easy driver for control although they were expensive.  For the new set up we 3D printed a new copper to fit our stepper motor.  The new set up can be seen below and is a more efficient was of developing artificial muscles.

The artificial muscle development process is still to be perfected, we are also developing a method to heat treat our muscles which will make them contract.
