We collected data from able-bodied subjects using our Myoband and recorded data for each of the grasping patterns we wish to implement as well as for rest.
The Myoband is a “gesture control device that consists of eight sEMG medical grade stainless steel sensors … with a three – axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer, and a three-axis magnetometer”
Using this data we are working on developing an algorithm that will classify each movement. We plan to explore K-nn and LDA.
